It feels like someone developed this app, then clocked out, collected his or her check, and went home. Never to return again. Hey Herald, pay someone to make your app less painful and mind-numbingly embarrassing. Stories repeat themselves as I scroll down..... a lot. Theres also a lot of lag when scrolling which makes me hit "google news Miami" for local stories. Seriously, take a look at other local newspaper apps and do that. You really need to do it. Print media as a whole is counting on you to save the world, perhaps even the known universe.

No landscape mode? Terrible overall design. Back to old version. If no fix before they quit servicing old version, it will be no Herald!

This app is cranky, confusing and practically unusable. It has no landscape mode, does not allow articles to be forwarded (check out the New York Times app, Herald, it is possible!)

Logged on to make changes to my subscription. Wasnt available for such use. Really?

Decent, if not exciting, news app, but would benefit greatly with a search option.

App is hard to use because the pop up ads are blocking view of the stories on both the iPhone and iPad. The ads are strategically placed so that you constantly click them by accident and then It takes you out of the story. I am a subscriber to the paper, I wish that qualified for an ad free AP. It is painful to use.

Why wont it allow me to view it in the horizontal view? Why wont it let me enter any terms for searching? Every time I try to read it, I just give up. This is the most annoying newspaper app I have. I keep hoping it will improve, because I really want to read the Miami Herald...but so far, its just not happening.

If I cant find tge Search option, I dont use the app. I dont want to be forced to go thru all to find what I am looking for.

You cant go to an archive to search for an old story. If there is one, I couldnt find it.

Youd think after releasing a clunky app and receiving an avalanche of criticism, theyd improve? Wrong. They dont care. Inconsistent posting of sports on the air. (when they feel like it) Defaults constantly back to the top. Even when you havent finished the section. Ads. Ads. Ads. Ads. Even after paying for the app monthly!!!!! Oh, the grammar and editing are on par with elementary school. My apologies to elementary schools. But, they dont care anyway. This publication has gone to the dogs. When they go out of business, theyll never know why. No one reads these. No one cares anymore. Its evident by the dismal quality.

This is a good app only if you pay for a subscription.

I read the other concerns about price but Im a subscriber to the print edition so this is free for me. The push feature is valuable to me. They dont abuse the feature and send only the most important news. If youre looking for local coverage I recommend this app.

Free version provides almost no content and it asks you to upgrade every time you open the app. I deleted this before it was even a week old. Major FAIL by the Herald.

They want you to pay to see all the content. Why?, just open up safari and go to their website. They should take notice of apps by The NY Times and Washington Post.

For those of you having issues with the app crashing. I just deleted it and reinstalled it. Works fine now.

I havent been able to open the app for about 2 months yet I am still being charged the monthly fee.

This has to be the worst newspaper app ever made. It downloads all the stories every time you open the app. It then crashes every single time. What a waste. Good thing I receive the regular subscription but if they raise the price for the new Plus service I am canceling if this is the digital app they will still use.
