Skip this app, go for Sun Sentinel instead! The Subscription service through iTunes works about 10% of the time. This problem has been ongoing for over a year. No reason this shouldnt be fixed by now.

the app is a pain. I subsribe thru itunes and the prompt will come up to subscribe and this has been happening for months !! Please fix!!!
Only lets one "restore subscription" not enter info for a new digital subscription. No help from heralds digital dept. I cancelled after one month of trying. Take a lesson from ny times.

If you guys are gonna be in the mobile news app business youve got to understand that you need to send push notifications to your users, Theirs a big difference in being a newspaper and a mobile app, we cant always just read our phones at will thats why you need to alert us mobile users when something happens....were mobile!!!!
Glad to have updates that fixed most of the bugs. Most importantly the push notifications. Now please fix your crashing iPAD app!!
Bad app, you have to login to read each letter to the editor . This is the worst app I have monthly subscription the news is not updated daily in sections. No stars its garbage
Even with the app, the monthly subscription, it consistently denies access, and there seems to be no channel to solve this
I pay a subscription of.99 every month and I have to log in every time I want to read an article! Come on, MH! Get your act together! Why do I pay for this?

You can only view so many free stories before they force you to pay for a monthly, app-only subscription. Ridiculous...if the app had a fixed cost for permanent ownership (e.g $0.99, $1.99) I would pay, but $6.99/mo...? Please do us a favor and run an editorial on your dealer.
I use this app several times a day, clean and it is relatively easygoing use. It would be better if I could arrange the specific categories I favor so that I could browse them all quickly without the need to keep going back to the main menu each time. For example, I only read Latest News, Florida, South Florida and Featured, but I have to keep working through the main menu to view each one independently every time and the work through the menu again to see my next favorite category. Maybe a Favorites List of Categories would help? Also, there is no way to view or leave comments on an article viewed in the app. That is a technology faux paux in this day and age. Come on Herald, get with it!
Recording a payment and record for the Digital version is EASY---BUT using and connecting to the Digital Press 5 --- it is very COMPLEX... And very old fashioned. Should review process of connection once you Register and Pay!!!
This app stinks. Cant find many articles that are in print edition. Difficult to search, incomplete.
I have it on my iPad too and its not terrible. I works well on my 4S too. It isnt glitchy, doesnt crash, only 22mb. I would like a search function tho
Im assuming many eyes saw this new design before it was green lighted. Thats why its so hard to understand it. How is it possible that so many people agreed on this abortion of a design. Why cant the Miami Herald look like a newspaper ? What were you people trying to accomplish ? Look @ the NYT and WaPo. Those are fun and easy to navigate apps.
